Hamptons - Sumter: A Culinary Gem in Sumter, SC

Very nice contemporary atmosphere, delicious food, great service. I eat often at fine dining in Buckhead (Atlanta), GA and Hampton’s competes with the best of them.

Amazing food, every dish was delicious in our party of four with exception of the meatballs; however, we are Italian and quite picky. Calamari, artichoke dip were excellent; salads superior; rib eye was top notch—however, desserts were *stellar* especially the key lime pie and berry sorbet!!! Staff were distracted but we later found that they were prepping for a huge rehearsal dinner party and catered wedding that weekend.

The food and atmosphere were good! However, the service was awful. Mike was our server for lunch. He took our order, brought it to us, but never came back to see if everything was good with our food, no refill on my coffee, or if we wanted additional spirits or dessert. We noticed how he checked on others while intentionally ignoring us, making our first visit the last due to the type of service we received.

Lunch with friends today was very good. Had soup and salad. The service was good and indoor seating, middle of day is a bit warm outside.

If y’all have not tried this place yall are missing out. This place is absolutely amazing. We went for lunch first the atmosphere and location is perfect. The scenery beautiful. Our host and waiter Greg was absolutely beautiful. The food absolutely delicious.. it was so many things we wanted to try. From the pizza to the lunch course amazing .. oh let us not forget the cocktail Our host Greg did an amazing drink with our cocktail.. will definitely be back until we try the whole menu.. please visit.. the chef is amazing… real ingredients, real food..

We were warmly welcomed by the hostess, who offered us the choice of dining in the elegant dining room or the bar upstairs. We opted for the dining room, which had a delightful atmosphere and beautiful decor. Shortly after being seated, our attentive waiter swiftly took our drink orders and provided a thorough overview of the menu. The drinks we ordered were delightful. For appetizers, we selected the fried calamari and she-crab soup, both of which were delicious and perfectly prepared. For our entrées, we chose the pan-roasted diver scallops and the grilled ribeye. Unfortunately, the scallops were underwhelming, with an overpowering ginger vinaigrette and overly fishy bonito flakes. The presentation was lacking, and overall, the dish did not meet our expectations. I wouldn't recommend it. On the other hand, the grilled ribeye was exceptional—perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The steak potatoes were amazing, though the sautéed onions were a bit too much. Despite the ups and downs, we had a great experience, and the food was good overall. However, it is worth noting that the food is quite overpriced for what you get. Additionally, we highly recommend making a reservation, as we were turned away the night before despite the restaurant being practically empty. Nevertheless, we would still consider returning for another visit.

This delightful fine dining restaurant is stellar!!! It's nestled in downtown Sumter and is truly a gem. They have a Michelin 3 star chef on-site and he has curated a sensational menu! I live two hours away and was there celebrating my son being Teacher of The Year!!! I got the braised short rib and crispy pork belly and pound cake with blueberries for dessert. Everything was prepared perfectly! Hamptons is worth another two hour drive for dinner! I'll be back next month!!! Who knew?!?!? My bill was $274 for my son and me. It was worth every dollar

Excellent food and service in a homey, southern downtown area! There was no wait to be seated for a late lunch and the atmosphere was pleasant in the elegant dining room. My server, Josh, was very friendly and attentive and the service was prompt and professional. The salad and entree were great, but my favorite was the homemade key lime pie and berry sorbet, which was a perfect combination of sweet and tart and the best I've ever had! The experience felt somewhat upscale, but the price for lunch items was reasonable, at about $10 each for salads and desserts and $20-$30 for entrees.
